Website
Technical notes on the website’s implementation, media and browser preferences.
Low-energy approach
This website has been designed as a lightweight digital archive for Studio Karolina Fandrejewska. Its structure prioritises text, indexing and selective image loading in order to reduce unnecessary data transfer while preserving access to the studio's work.
The homepage contains no project images. In Works, image previews appear when a project row is opened; fuller documentation is available in the project record.
Typography
System fonts are used. No external font files are requested by the website.
Images
Portfolio images are hosted on the studio’s server and CMS. Responsive image sizes and lazy loading limit image requests. Project galleries use numbered captions; file sizes, when recorded, are available on hover rather than displayed as captions.
Video autoplay is not used.
Colour modes
A light/dark switch is available in the footer. The selected mode is stored locally in this browser. If no mode is selected, the website follows the browser colour preference.
Carbon estimate
No verified estimate of emissions per page view or hosting energy source is currently published.
